Local deputies have successfully recovered a 2022 Dodge Pickup and a 20′ flatbed trailer, including a large oilfield compressor that had been stolen from an oilfield pad outside of Kenedy. The total value of this equipment was estimated at $101,000.
Law enforcement officers also managed to locate a 2009 Chevrolet Pickup that had been stolen from an oilfield service company near the Kenedy Airport. During their investigation, deputies discovered a significant number of stolen items, including a pressure washer, hand tools, socket sets, bolt cutters, and drill bit sets.
Furthermore, they recovered a four-wheeler that had been taken from a ranch near Karnes City, which was found in Runge, Texas.
In another incident, a handgun and an Automobile Diagnostic tester were reported as stolen from an auto dealer. Police allege that the suspect walked into the auto dealer’s office and took the items from their desk.
Lastly, deputies were able to retrieve a Hustler Zero-turn lawn mower and trailer that had been stolen from a homeowner in Runge, Texas. These items were discovered by an individual from Meyersville, Texas.
The suspect, Clint Michael Kunschik, 32, was arrested and charged with two counts of Felony Theft $30,000 to $150,000, one count of Felony Theft $2,500 to $30,000, one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and other additional charges are currently pending.
